JR Buzz Campbell

Maura Garvey

Maura D. Garvey has been the Director of Market Research at J.R. Campbell & Associates, Inc. (JRCI) for over 23 years.  She is responsible for developing and maintaining proprietary models on the industrial gas industry including an industrial gas plant database, and company financial, market share, and market segment data. This requires tracking worldwide and U.S. economic indicators for industrial gas markets. Garvey has authored over 75 articles for CryoGas International, analyzing specific gas markets, segments, and yearly updates for the U.S. and worldwide industrial gas business.

Garvey specializes in large, worldwide helium supply/demand studies and helium pricing studies.  Her supply/demand studies have assisted major U.S. and European helium suppliers understand the global balance of helium supply/demand and helped them to analyze their U.S. and European helium expansion project potential.

Prior to joining J. R. Campbell & Associates, Garvey was an independent consultant providing quantitative and qualitative market research. Prior to that, she was a project leader/senior principal analyst performing cost and operational effectiveness analyses with ARINC Research Corporation, an engineering consulting company primarily serving government sector clients. She also has experience as a task leader/technical staff in the Economics and Decision Analysis Department of The MITRE Corporation, a Federally Funded Research and Development Center, providing systems engineering and analysis to government clients.

Garvey has a BS in mathematics with a minor in economics from Bates College, a Certificate of Special Studies in Business and Administration from Harvard University/Extension Program, and an MS in industrial engineering from Northeastern University.
